The Importance of GROWTH in K12 Settings

Growth in K12 institutions is fundamental to human development and success. It encompasses holistic progression in cognitive, social, emotional, and professional domains. Recognizing the critical role of growth in education, we’re excited to introduce our Growth pod as part of the Success Circles Coaching Program. This specialized pod is designed to assist educators in:

Through success coaching, the Growth pod empowers educators to transform their approach to teaching, learning, and leading. Participants will gain practical tools to promote growth across all aspects of their education practice.

Meet Our Lead Coach – Dr. Angel Knoverek

Leading this transformative initiative is Dr. Angel Knoverek, an expert uniquely qualified to guide educators on their growth journey. Dr. Knoverek brings a proven track record to her role as lead coach of the Growth Pod in the Success Circles Coaching Program.

With a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, Dr. Knoverek has a deep understanding of the psychological principles underlying growth and development. Her current position as Associate Professor of Counselor Education and program director at Culver-Stockton College keeps her at the forefront of educational research and practice.

Angel’s expertise extends beyond academia. As a licensed clinical professional counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor, she brings invaluable insights into the emotional and psychological aspects of growth. Her experience in various clinical leadership roles, including Director of Trauma Services and Clinical Director, has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of how to foster growth in diverse and challenging contexts.

One of Dr. Knoverek’s most significant contributions has been in the field of trauma-informed care. Her work with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, including co-chairing the Complex Trauma/Developmental Trauma Disorder Work Group, has given her unique insights into creating supportive, growth-oriented environments for all students, especially those who have experienced adversity.

Dr. Knoverek’s commitment to fostering growth and transformation extends to her private practice, the Mindshift Center. This organization serves as a hub for personal and professional development, complementing her role in the Growth Success Pod initiative.

Through the Mindshift Center, Dr. Knoverek brings a holistic approach to growth, addressing both personal and professional aspects of development. This integrated approach ensures that coaching participants benefit not only from Dr. Knoverek’s academic and clinical expertise but also from her practical experience in guiding individuals and organizations through transformative journeys.
