Self-examination crystallizes your purpose and beliefs, the bedrock great leaders influence others from.
Next, identify gaps that may exist between your vision and current capacities. Which skills align with your goals for the future? What knowledge areas could bolster your talents and convictions? Self-leadership requires brutal honesty about abilities paired with the initiative towards constant growth.
Another core element of self-leadership is mindfulness. How you do anything is how you’ll do everything once others emulate your example. Your relationship with yourself serves as the blueprint for future team culture. Positive self-talk, healthy work-life balance, and self-care should all be prioritized already.
While current followers validate externally, self-leadership prepares the inner life for destiny’s timing. Stay faithful to your development process. Demonstrate qualities you wish to propagate even absent spectators. Like incubating embers nursing the spark, keep stoking personal progress and your leadership light is sure to shine bright when the time comes!
